Gasoline and diesel fuel prices may temporarily go down for short periods of time, but they eventually keep rising. Fuel costs are a major expense putting a strain on businesses that rely on vehicles,. Whether over the road trucks, delivery services and heavy equipment in their daily operations. For those who own Recreational vehicles also feel this impact with their motor-homes, ATVs, boats and motorcycles, etc. AMSOIL products are the most cost effective way to ease those strains.
AMSOIL synthetic lubricants will definitely improve fuel economy by allowing moving parts to move more freely, using less energy and creating less friction and heat than when conventional or other synthetic lubricants are used. Check it out here!
The use of AMSOIL synthetic motor oil, gear lubes, transmission fluids, grease and fuel additives will have a profound impact on fuel economy. Industry tests demonstrate an average conservative decrease in fuel consumption by 10% to 30% by switching to AMSOIL Synthetic Lubricants.
Numerous AMSOIL customers report even larger gains in fuel economy, we have seen up to a 30% increase by changing all power train lubricants! This also relates to longer component life!!
Tips for increased fuel economy: This is not rocket science!
#1 Use AMSOIL Synthetic Lubricants, grease, oil filters and fuel additives throughout your vehicle to keep it operating in peak performance!
#2 Maintain your tire PSI at manufactured spec’s and keep your vehicle in proper alignment! Certain tires have a higher MPG specification ( less rolling resistance), check them out! A loss of 1 PSI can reduce your fuel economy by 0.2%.
#3 Keep your windows and sun roof closed for less drag and better aerodynamics!
#4 Use your air conditioner only when necessary, and remember when your heater control is on defrost it operates your AC to De-humidify your interior and will also lower your MPG! This is necessary in the winter or high humidity to help defrost your windows though, so safety is first.
#5 Plan your driving route, combine your trips, look ahead and be observant to avoid driving obstructions! Just maintain a constant speed .
#6 Do not exceed the speed limit, on average for every mile an hour increase over 65 MPH, your fuel economy will drop by approximately 1%! Ten MPH =10%
#7 Keep your braking and acceleration gradual, and to a minimum; sudden stops and starts reduces your fuel economy, steady as she goes saves fuel and $$$!
#8 When driving highways keep your speed at a constant MPH, use your cruise control to help when necessary!
#9 Keep your engine maintained: Remember to keep your engine properly tuned, dirty spark plugs decreases your fuel economy, engine performance and will eventually carbon up your valves, pistons, rings and cause premature failure of the catalytic converter by restricting the flow through it . This will lead to excessive blow by which increases engine wear and contamination of gases, to prevent this use AMSOIL gasoline additive PI. This applies to diesel engines also, be sure to maintain your fuel system with the proper grade of fuel (#2), and use AMSOIL diesel fuel concentrate, cetane boost and cold flow improver with deicer when necessary! Get the facts from us about how the Ultra Low Diesel fuel we now have will effect your fuel system!
#10 Minimize idling: Idling for more than 1 minute wastes gas and costs more than starting your engine ( there may be exceptions in severe cold). Excessive idling wastes gas, minimize your warm up idling to approximately 30 seconds. This also depends on the severity of the cold and safety of windows being clear of frost. Ten minutes of idling may cost you 5-6 MPH!
#11 Keep excessive weight from your vehicle, unnecessary weight has a negative effect on fuel economy, vehicle handling and performance!
