AMSOIL makes it super easy with just having to do it once a year if you wish or you can follow your manufactures drain intervals with AMSOIL OE oils or XL lubricants. No need to concern yourself about Warranty or the waste oil, several auto parts businesses will take it. Some have waste oil heaters that are happy to have the used oil or there are your local Automotive supply houses that will always take it and recycle it along with myself. Of coarse AMSOIL products are good & safe for environment, check it out here!

Your basic needs are an oil drain pan preferably with a top you can seal, then it makes it easy to recycle the oil. A universal filter wrench or a filter wrench specifically for your vehicles engine oil filter and a ratchet wrench with 6 point sockets preferably. I use old cardboard to catch any minor spills that might happen under the vehicle. It is also nice if you have some latex or rubber gloves. If your vehicle is low to the ground you may purchase either a floor jack and stands to be safe or ramps to drive upon. Remember to contact us for any & all questions, Ivan is always willing to help!!

Be sure to use an AMSOIL oil filter that will last up to 25,000 miles or a year and AMSOIL’s Signature Series oil that meets your cars recommendation. It is as easy as that, of coarse if you do not want to have this experience you can always buy the AMSOIL products and take your vehicle to a local shop, like Woodmoor Conoco in Monument Co. EFFECTS OF CONTAMINANTS

Contaminants always will cause pre-mature wear (damage) and lead to premature failures in all and every power train system. Whether it’s in the engine, transmission, differential or hydraulic lubricating system, etc. Be sure to always use clean containers & products when adding AMSOIL products. AMSOIL Lubricants are filtered 3 times before being packaged and production target. No other oil company meets this stringent specification only AMSOIL!

Contact us to find out how to prevent contaminants from entering into your lubrication or intake systems. For example, a hydraulic leak on a cylinder rods on heavy equipment will let contaminants in when the rod is retracted. One of the main ways contaminants get in your vehicles engine oil is through your intake system, be sure to have a top-quality air filter since dirt is the main contaminant we face, be sure to check for loose hose clamps on the intake air system to keep dirt out (silicon). This may also take place by mixing oils and or adding additives to any oil. Adding additives to your lubricants will always compromise AMSOIL’s Synthetic Lubricants and put at risk the original oil formulation in which we & AMSOIL highly advise against except in emergencies. This is a re-post from ALS laboratories about contaminants and we give them the credit. Click Here to see article:

At times it is necessary to flush your lubricating system, read here for an excellent article from ALS Laboratories in which we give them the credit. When needed we suggest AMSOIL FLSH Flush! AMSOIL FLSH is an excellent engine & transmission oil flush that will not harm your power train system components, but it will prolong your components life by removing harmful contaminants & sludge!

Here is a great article from AMSOIL why motor oil deteriorates:

Muscle Cars Need Extra Zinc

AMSOIL Synthetic Lubricants does has the solution for every owner, builder or enthusiast that owns muscle cars. This also applies to any motorist that has older engines with flat tappet camshafts (usually pre-2005). You should be aware of the current gasoline specified oils since 2006 (SM,SN, GM Dexos SP). These current oil spec’s have less zinc & phosphorus (approximately 30% less) that is necessary for your engine flat tappet camshafts and lifters, especially those with extra or high pressure valve springs. Remember the camshaft & lifters are the highest wear point of this style of engine! This is where AMSOIL Z-ROD OIL,  AMSOIL’S racing oils or AMSOILS PRE 2007 OILS LIKE AMSOIL  AMO will help prolong your engine life with 75% more protection. No need to add any oil additives which usually make it worse when using AMSOIL or any other oil click here! For SL spec’d oils, transmission, differential, fuel additives and all AMSOIL products Click Here! When rebuilding your engine use AMSOIL pre-lube engine assembly & AMSOIL break in oil.

AMSOIL also makes oils for the new Rapture, Nissan and Ford Mustang, and other special high-performance vehicles.

MYTHS about SYNTHETIC OILS

Let’s look at some Myths (unsubstantial stories), but we should always be sure to examine the ACTUAL facts. Haven’t we all heard horrible incidents or statements (Hear say, Myths) about some bad product or service. But we need to actually take the time & do the research. We usually find out these statements are not true (false), like what is the difference between Synthetic and conventional oil. Whatever the story (myth) is about we always find the truth based on the facts! Click Here to find the truth about AMSOIL Synthetics!!

For example, one Myth is that when you switch to AMSOIL Synthetic oil after using a petroleum-based oil it may cause leaks (FALSE)  click here for FAQ.  Another myth is that you should not change your automatic transmission fluid in your vehicle if you went over the manufacturers scheduled maintenance because it will cause the sludge and debris to become free and plug orifices, or AMSOIL synthetic oils will cause clutch slippage and or transmission failure. Horse feathers, any oil (especially petroleum based) that is operated beyond its life cycle oxidizes, which causes more build up & contamination which will cause early component failures (think about washing your dishes in the same dish water over and over). EVERY power train component needs its oil changed on a regular basis; this includes the coolant. Don’t buy into the oil for life suggestion by certain manufacturers that you never have to change your power train oil!! To get the facts contact us. Whether you flush your transmission system with AMSOIL FLSH transmission flush and then change to AMSOIL ATF or just flush your system with new AMSOIL ATF. The detergents in these AMSOIL products slowly dissolve the debris into microscopic particles and will not plug components. It will always cost less to do your preventive maintenance than to have to do major repairs!  To see fleet the study on AMSOIL ATF, click here!
